CANDIDATES
Background
I earned my Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Molecular Biology and Physiology at the University of Belgrade (Serbia). During this time, I completed internships at the Biomedical Center LMU, the Institute of Cancer Research, and the Vienna BioCenter with main focus on epigenetics. For my MSc thesis, I worked under the supervision of Dr. Mathieu Boulard at EMBL Rome, where I investigated the role of O-GlcNAc transferase in ribosome biogenesis.
Research
In January 2026, I began my PhD journey as an MSCA Fellow at the Josep Carreras Leukaemia Research Institute as part of the NUCLEAR doctoral network. My work focuses on elucidating the impact of metabolite binding by macroH2A histone variants on gene regulation and chromatin architecture.
