Doctoral Candidate

Johannes Lintner

Background

I completed my Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Chemistry at the University of Innsbruck, specializing in computational approaches. My Master’s thesis in Theoretical Chemistry and the university’s extension programme in Computer Science strengthened my skills in programming, scientific coding and the systematic analysis of complex scientific problems.

Research

I now work with the Bioinformatics and Systems Biology (BSysBio) group, where I develop automated data-analysis pipelines for stable-isotope-labelling experiments analyzed by mass spectrometry. By streamlining the analysis of data into robust and reproducible outputs, my work supports the construction of quantitative metabolic models that help experimental teams to interpret their results and to uncover mechanisms of disease in their target organisms.
