Computational analysis and modelling of acyl-CoA metabolism and protein acylation dynamics
Rationale and objectives:
The analysis of PTM dynamics is laborious and thus currently self-limiting to a few targeted peptides. Overcoming
this limitation and considering the synthesis and dynamics of the metabolic precursors, we propose:
• To establish an automated data analysis pipeline for identification of PTMs including PTM labelling
• To derive acyl-CoA sinks and sources based on metabolic flux analysis (MFA) of central metabolism
• To develop a model that connect acyl-CoA metabolism with site specific protein acylations.
Envisioned Secondments
UCY (Kirmizis), months 23-28 (5 months) for data analysis and incorporation from perturbation experiments targeting NAA40 dependent histone acylation and fatty acid metabolism dynamics.
Recruitment
The estimated annual gross salary for the fellow will be €45.000 (approx.).
