Created in 2010, the Josep Carreras Institute mission is to investigate the epidemiological, preventive, clinical, translation and basic aspects of leukaemia and other hematologic malignancies through innovation to cure them.

University of Bergen (UiB)

The University of Bergen (UiB) is an internationally recognised research university. Academic diversity and high quality are fundamental for us. UiB is the most cited university in Norway. There are seven faculties at UiB and there are close to 20 000 students at the university. We employ more than 4 200 faculty and staff. PhD candidates are paid employees, making the doctoral degree at UiB particularly attractive for rising talent. About half of graduating doctors are from outside Norway..

European Institute of Oncology (IEO)

The European Institute of Oncology (IEO) in Milan is a leading cancer research and treatment center, dedicated to advancing oncology through innovative research, education, and clinical practice. The Department of Experimental Oncology (DEO) focuses on cancer research, bridging fundamental, translational, and clinical science.

Leibniz-Institut für Analytische Wissenschaften (ISAS)

The Leibniz-Institut für Analytische Wissenschaften (ISAS) develops analytical technologies for high-performance measuring strategies for health research. The goal is analytics for precision medicine (prevention, diagnostics and therapy of i.e. cardiovascular diseases or cancer).

Max Delbrück Center (MDC)

Research at the Max Delbrück Center (MDC) aims to elucidate the molecular mechanisms of health and disease, and translate those findings into medical practice.

They analyze the human system, exploring the foundations of life from the smallest building blocks to mechanisms that span multiple organs. They want to understand what regulates or disrupts the healthy equilibrium in a cell, an organ, or the entire body.

The Arctic University of Norway (UiT) is a medium-sized research institution and the northernmost university of the world.

The Novo Nordisk Foundation Center for Stem Cell Medicine, reNEW is a worldwide consortium with a node at the University of Copenhagen (UCPH). reNEW addresses fundamental questions in stem cell biology and translates findings to products that will help patients.

The Center for Molecular Medicine (UMCU), situated in Utrecht, the Netherlands, performs cutting-edge biomedical research driving discovery and understanding of the molecular mechanisms underlying human disease. Researchers perform multidisciplinary fundamental and translational research in relation to a variety of diseases, including cancer and genetic disorders.

The Radboud Institute (RU) for Molecular Life Sciences is a leading interfaculty research institute of Radboud University Faculty of Science, which is scientifically affiliated with Radboudumc Research Institute for Medical Innovation. The overarching aim of RIMLS is to decipher molecular mechanisms of disease.

Precision For Health (P4H) is a spin-off company from IMDEA-Food Institute aimed to translate its scientific discoveries in nutrition, lifestyle and health into Precision Nutrition products that improve the quality of life of the population.

Eisbach Bio (EISBACH)

Eisbach Bio was created in 2019 to develop precision oncology drugs targeting synthetic lethality in cancers with DNA repair defects. They leverage their ALLOS platform for safer, targeted therapies in areas on unmet clinical need.

The Centre for Genomic Regulation (CRG) is an international biomedical research institute of excellence, created in July 2000. It is a non-profit foundation funded by the Catalan Government through the Department of Business & Knowledge and the Department of Health, the Spanish Ministry of Science & Innovation, the “la Caixa” Banking Foundation, and includes the participation of Pompeu Fabra University. The mission of the CRG is to discover and advance knowledge for the benefit of society, public health and economic prosperity
