Breaking new ground in cancer and stem cell research: the NUCLEAR project launches

nuclear

The NUCLEAR project, a Marie Skłodowska Curie Action Doctoral Network funded under the Horizon Europe programme, is set to revolutionize our understanding of metabolic regulation in genome function and cell identity.

With a focus on stem cell biology and cancer, NUCLEAR will train 17 doctoral candidates in cutting-edge research. Supported by 14 beneficiaries and 12 partner organizations across Europe, the initiative combines expertise in metabolomics, functional genomics, chromatin regulation, and cancer biology.

NUCLEAR unites European leaders in research with innovators in precision nutrition, mass spectrometry technologies, and drug development. The project’s goals include developing tools to detect nuclear metabolism, studying how metabolism influences chromatin functions, and identifying vulnerabilities in cancer cells that could lead to novel therapeutic strategies.

This collaborative effort aims to position Europe at the forefront of groundbreaking advancements in biomedical science.
